Who we are:
Symetria Recovery is the #1 outpatient rehab in Illinois and Texas. It started with three simple, yet game-changing core beliefs: Addiction is a disease; co-occurring mental health conditions should be addressed, and patients deserve respect, not judgement. Symetria Recovery provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment with a focus on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in a welcoming outpatient setting. Unlimited clinical services are available to our patients under our bundled-service delivery model. Key services delivered through our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) licensure include MAT, medically monitored psychiatric care, individual therapy, group therapy (IOP), 6-day-per-week nursing care, and ongoing aftercare. Most of our patients being provided medication receive Buprenorphine products, but they can also receive Methadone, injectables (Vivitrol, Sublocade), and any other FDA-approved medication for addiction.
What you will do:
- Completes comprehensive assessments of a patient’s substance-use history and treatment requirements, and prepares individualized, developmentally appropriate treatment plan. Documents treatment plans and narrative progress notes.
- Prepares and conducts individual and group counseling sessions; facilitates discussion and interaction; and enables individuals to understand and accept responsibility for recovery process and acquire necessary coping and behavioral management skills.
- Develops patient discharge plans that integrate aftercare treatment and utilization of appropriate referral resources.
- Performs case management, and serves as patient advocate, by obtaining, coordinating, and scheduling additional medical or psychiatric treatment; or other biopsychosocial services indicated to support patient’s progress and recovery.
Who you are:
- Current certification or qualification as an alcohol, drug or substance abuse counselor as required by company, association, board, or commission in state of employment. A clinical license - LPC, LCDC, or LSW is required.
- Knowledge of MAT/OTP federal laws, and MAT/OTP treatment services.
- One (1) to Three (3) years’ experience
- Knowledge of group facilitation, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, intervention techniques and evidenced-based addiction treatment theory and practice is required.
- Analytical abilities necessary to conduct comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, counseling and case management.
- Possess interpersonal skills to support other staff members as well as encourage and support patients in the recovery process.
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of computer systems & Microsoft Office programs
- Flexible with your availability(weekday hours are 6am-2pm & must be able to work one Saturday morning per month-6:30am to 9:30am)
