The Recertification Specialist acts in a supportive role to the Community Manager, and is primarily dedicated to completing annual and interim recertifications in a timely manner.
An ideal candidate has:
- COS/TCS certification or experience completing Section 8 and/or LIHTC certifications
- Familiarity with HUD and LIHTC regulations
- Ability to address the concerns of current and future residents in a positive, friendly and professional manner
- Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office/G-Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Experience with Boston Post software is a plus
Duties include:
- Scheduling and completing recertification interviews
- Obtaining required verification of income and assets
- Completing recertifications in software and obtaining necessary signatures
- Answering phones and addressing tenant concerns
- Entering work orders
- Collecting and processing rent payments, providing receipts
