What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Caregiver position at SYNERGY HomeCare?
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home care and assistance to clients, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Administering medication as prescribed
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with mobility and transfers
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate individuals
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Empathy and understanding towards the needs of elderly or disabled individuals
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
