TempExperts is hiring on behalf of a Civil Litigation and Trial law firm for a Paralegal. This is a full-time In-office position in the Winter Park area.
The ideal candidate is a meticulous and driven professional to join their team as a Paralegal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience in handling the Discovery in cases and experienced in responding to discovery and handling objections in discovery responses.
- Have experience maintaining an attorney calendar and scheduling.
- Be able to organize all legal documents and ensure they are updated.
- Excellent client follow up and communication.
- Exceptional attention to detail, great at proofreading documents.
- Update and maintain client information in database.
- Interact with clients, visitors, and attorneys/staff from other offices via phone, e-mail, and in person.
- Open new files, check conflicts of interest, and maintain all client and general files.
- Experience in Word, Outlook and Adobe.
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude; maintain good public relations and customer service with clients; maintain confidentiality of attorney-client relationship.
- Other administrative duties as requested.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent mandatory. Associate or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in a law firm.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software, ability to adapt to new software easily. Knowledge of or ability to learn law firm task and calendar system, Westlaw and Form builder, and other software as needed.
- Writes clearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar. Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and diligence.
- Identifies and resolves problems promptly; gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Listens and seeks clarification; responds well to questions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Exceptional People Skills (In-person and on the phone).
