Description
PURPOSE
The Coordinator of Transfer Admissions is responsible for the facilitation of recruitment and enrollment activities related to prospective transfer students.
This position contributes to the achievement of enrollment and recruitment goals and objectives by conducting community college visits, admission presentations, campus tours, attending college fairs and providing TAMU-CC college transition counseling / advising.
In the scope of enrollment activity, the coordinator also supports all other targeted undergraduate recruitment activities as an integral member of the Undergraduate Admissions department.

DESCRIPTION
Functional Area 1 : Recruiting and Admissions
Percent Effort : 30%
Job Duties
Recruit, counsel and advise students, families, and groups regarding the application process, credentials needed, and all phases of the University including, but not limited to, admission requirements, financial aid, scholarships, career choices, housing, honors programs, student involvement, and academic programs
Solve programmatic / procedural problems and give guidance requiring substantial knowledge of operations, programs, and University policies.
Conduct on-campus interview / sessions with families.
Participate actively in communication activities through phone calls, email communications, postcards, texting, social media, and letters as appropriate to serve constituencies
Functional Area 2 : Travel Management
Percent Effort : 20%
Job Duties
Manage appropriate travel and recruitment of prospective transfer students to TAMUCC, including outreach calendars for visits to community colleges, targeted community events, and designated on and off campus programs
Functional Area 3 : Administrative Operations
Percent Effort : 15%
Job Duties
Coordinate the undergraduate transfer recruitment and admission programs, requiring extensive knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Facilitate close working relationships with key TAMUCC employees, secondary school constituents, and community college colleagues.
Assist the Director in the design, development, and implementation of admissions services, procedures, recruitment plans, and marketing plans.
Functional Area 4 : Program Management
Percent Effort : 30%
Job Duties
Coordinate and engage in the course credit articulation evaluations to include the facilitation of necessary articulation and bridge agreements with community college.
Maintain contact with community college contacts in target areas to include serving as the primary point of contact for the Office of Admissions with these institutions.
Coordinate appropriate transfer articulation workshops and activities.
Functional Area 5 : Other
Percent Effort : 5%
Job Duties
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Admissions or their designee.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree
3 years related experience in Admissions, recruitment, student life, or in appropriate university settings.
Ability to travel for recruitment purposes and work irregular hours during scheduled times including occasional weekends.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), personal computers.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with numerous populations in a positive and professional manner.
Ability to work independently, collaboratively and cooperatively with others.
Strong customer service and public presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to plan, initiate and organize events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Education, Communications, or Business / Marketing
Documented excellence in a professional role, dealing one-on-one with people daily in a dynamic service-oriented environment.

SALARY : $3,750- 4,166 monthly $45,000-50,000 Annually)
