Our Eastern Territorial Headquarters has an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Communications Director for the Internal Communications Department which oversees initiatives for marketing the different programs within The Salvation Army through digital means. The Director is pivotal in the Communications Department, encompassing the core responsibility of overseeing and elevating digital channels and platforms (including social media, websites, and e-communications) across the eastern territory. This position requires an exceptional leader to oversee a team of digital content managers and creators and works in tandem with the department to organize and produce a content-sharing strategy.
The individual in this role will oversee the websites of all internal program departments, social media channels (primarily SAconnects followed by program accounts), bi-weekly e-mail newsletter called ‘Good News,’ while developing content release strategies in conjunction with the video, graphics, editorial, and live events team. Digital content sharing expertise is expected to be shared regularly with the video, graphics, and editorial teams to aid in the creation process.
Master of strategic thought, adept problem-solving skills, and a profound aptitude for story-telling within the digital online community landscape is essential. This entails the conveyance of messaging centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ, facilitated through an internal communication framework.
This position reports to the Internal Communications Director of Marketing and Branding.

Develop and execute annual digital communication strategy with an emphasis on maximizing growth and engagement through The Salvation Army Eastern Territory's social media, internal websites, e-newsletters, and livestreamed events.
