A healthcare services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Manhattan as their new Acute Dialysis Nurse.
About the Opportunity:
Specialty: Dialysis / Renal
Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts per week, on-call rotation, some weekend work is required
Call Schedule: On-call rotation, some weekend work is required
Responsibilities:
The Acute Dialysis Nurse (RN) will:
Direct and provide safe effective patient care for assigned patients as prescribed for all modality specific treatment procedures
Enter all treatment data into the designated medical record thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner
Perform the implementation, administration, monitoring, and documentation of patient's response to prescribed intradialytic transfusions, including appropriate notification of adverse reactions to physician and appropriate blood supplier
Handle other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
2 years of Acute Dialysis experience
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
