We have an immediate need for a Second Shift Seat Assembly Team Leader on B Shift in our New Castle, IN facility.
Qualifications : Good understanding of Assembly practices and procedures. Good written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Previous manufacturing and supervision experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide direct leadership to co-leaders and indirect leadership to associates assigned within the area of responsibility.
Evaluate associate training needs, ensuring competence and cross training where applicable.
Provide necessary tools, equipment, including personal protective equipment and resources to associates.
Motivate associates using position re-enforcement.
Complete production requirements daily.
Problem solving and countermeasure development.
Monitor and measure accuracy of processes and equipment
Provide new associates with thorough department orientation.
Conduct coaching and counseling for inappropriate behavior and attendance.
Motivate associates using positive re-enforcement.
Ensure safe operations.
Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives / metrics.
Administer performance reviews.
All other duties as assigned.
Must have a good understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and JIT principles, high manual dexterity and good visual acuity to work with parts.
