Position Summary:
The Corporate Public Relations team at UHS is looking for motivated professionals to join our cutting edge team and provide support on high-visibility UHS Corporate projects.
As a Corporate Public Relations Intern you will have the opportunity to work on real-time and meaningful projects, develop your technical skills, collaborate and network with various teams, and receive mentorship.
Essential Job Duties:
- Participates in PR projects.
- Assisting with fact-finding for issues management.
- Collecting and validating corporate level data that supports the UHS reputation and narrative (facts, stats, metrics, year-over-year trends).
- Assisting with facility and competitor analyses.
- Aiding with development of state-specific Economic Fact Sheets.
- Updating the UHS Awards & Rankings deck.
- Assisting with managing the UHS Sustainability tracker.
- Participate in professional development.
- Shadows employees to learn the different roles.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or a related degree from accredited college or university.
- Student must be rising into senior year (at minimum, must have 1st semester of junior year completed).
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) applications. ‘
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Desire to learn and share ideas in a collaborative work environment.
