The Church Custodian role will have the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Maintain the cleanliness of the sanctuary, restrooms, classrooms, foyer, Pastor’s office, and main office including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting of floors and surfaces and collecting and disposing of trash from inside and outside trash receptacles.
2. Be punctual and available during work hours per the schedule below:
3. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored away when not in use.
4. Promptly report all problems or questions to the Trustee Chairman and do not make any repairs to church furniture or equipment unless authorized by the Trustee Chairman.
5. Fill the Baptismal Pool several days prior to baptism services and clean the pool following its use.
6. Ensure that assigned keys are not given to or duplicated for anyone without the prior approval of the Trustee Chairman, or the Chief of Security.
7. Assist with the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs, podiums/microphones, pulpit furnishings and other miscellaneous items for events held at the church.
8. Change the air filters in the air handling units in the mechanical services room every 3 months.
9. Change light bulbs as needed around the church.
10. Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed or requested if they do not interfere with the primary duties described above.
