What you Need to Succeed:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management, or finance is required; MBA or similar advanced degree and/or CPA certification are desired. Additional continuing education or training in accounting, finance, utility rate design, and the rural utility industry is required during employment.

· Eight to Ten years’ experience in a progressively responsible financial and accounting position is preferred. Five years’ utility experience, preferably with an electric cooperative or CPA firm with utility focus, is desired; RUS accounting experience is a plus. At least five years’ experience supervising/leading a department is required; experience as a senior staff member with a high level of planning and vision is preferred.

· Thorough familiarity with financial management, outside auditor support, strategic planning, controls, risk management, cash management, budgeting and financial accounting software are required; familiarity with rate design and loan applications preferred. Knowledge of TVA’s Wholesale Power Contract and Regulatory guidance and principles preferred.

· Valid Class D Tennessee Driver’s License (or ability to obtain)
