Position Summary
This position will be responsible for providing project management to smaller-scale, company-wide projects, focusing on the change management process. The position will also provide technical support in keeping plant layouts, P&ID’s and utility information up-to-date.
Essential Functions
- Prepare project plan to manage schedule, cost and scope of the project.
- Communicate with team, contractors, third party vendors, stakeholders to ensure successful completion of the project.
- Update the status of the progress of project to stakeholders.
- Perform risk management and formulate strategy to mitigate risks to project.
- Manage resource assignment, work allocation, prioritization of operation project tasks.
- Assist with layout of equipment to streamline project resources and optimize current production.
- Assist with the oversight of new equipment installation and ensure installation is completed to company standards while holding vendors and contractors accountable.
- Support and execute change management activities in project scope.
- Perform plant layout updates and P&ID updates using CAD software.
- Maintain an accurate list of valves and descriptions from plant processes and utility P&ID’s.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste streams and reduce company utility consumption.
- Maintain utility load balance sheets.
- Understand and adhere to all PSM requirements and be a member of the emergency response team.
- Understand and adhere to all GMPs and food safety policies and procedures and perform all work in a manner that ensures the highest standard of food safety and quality.
- Maintain standard records pertaining to daily work requirements in a manner that makes them a reliable data source for safety, quality and regulatory requirements and audits.
- Comply with all company safety rules and follow PPE requirements to achieve no injuries and no lost-time accidents.

Supervisory Responsibility
No supervisory responsibilities for this position. This position will provide guidance, training and direction to applicable project contractors.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office and plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Occasionally exposed to extreme temperature variations. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position will vary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently will need to sit, stand, walk. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit or stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position will be part of a weekend rotation.
Travel
Less than five percent travel expected for this position for training and site visits.
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree in related field. One to three years in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Education, Experience & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or construction field. Three to five years in a food manufacturing facility. Experience with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Minimum age requirement is 18. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
