- Research the ways of fixturing or processes can be improved. Support any other request for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs in the company.
- Manual and Robotic Weld/tooling Fixture and peripheral manufacturing equipment design.
- Experience in SolidWorks (3D & 2D) to design and model fixturing used for holding vehicle parts during processes such as welding, paint, assembly, and test.
- Perform layout checks with Production/Manufacturing team involved to confirm that the fixtures meet all requirements.
- Support development groups such as Chassis and CAB Design by creating data for evaluation models.
- Knowledge of vehicle chassis construction / assembly, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, Basic electrical and mechanical skills
- Understanding Chassis and its peripheral equipment/ part construction, datums, and weld information to incorporate into fixture design.
- Manage or provide input including cost estimates for technical proposals.
- To support purchasing group in providing design information, and guide outside vendors in matters of design and build of Weld tooling.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60,666.13 - $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- SolidWorks: 5 years (Preferred)
- Fixtures Design: 3 years (Preferred)
- Automotive/Truck Domain: 3 years (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Wyoming, MN (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Wyoming, MN: Relocate before starting work (Required)
