PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS: Performs customer service, development and delivery functions to expand business training services and increase revenue of Business Services

GENERAL ATTENDANCE: Attendance requirements are from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday (unless otherwise stated for part-time and temporary employees). Also may require occasional training outside of normal business hours.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Custom designs training curriculum to meet customer’s training needs, tailoring all aspects of service delivery to the customer’s needs.
  • Uses creativity and relationship building skills, as well as teaching and curriculum development experience to sell business training and consulting services.
  • Works to market new and current products and services, and designs basic marketing tools, flipcharts and other graphics designed to be used in customer training or development.
  • Maintains continuous knowledge of current trends and regulations in regards to business training requirements.
  • Maintains efficient use of resources in the development and delivery of services.
  • Works with potential customers, working with Customer Developer / Sales Representative to maximize business volume.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information to determine learning needs for customer requests.
  • Reports training performance to management.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and provides customers with product information and delivery status.
  • Provides customers with ongoing service and problem resolution, referring complaints concerning services to appropriate department(s) for investigation and follow up.
  • Provides customer feedback to appropriate department(s).
  • Receives, reviews, records and amends customer information into the computer database for client management.
  • Creates forms and training material with use of electronic media.
  • Ability to schedule and manage time according to customers training schedule requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned under direct guidance of Business Training Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in related field required.
  • Experience in teaching, public speaking, curriculum development, assessments and working with adult learners required.
  • Knowledge of quality principles helpful.
  • Proven track record of successful training experience required.
  • Sales experience and knowledge of local employers / businesses helpful.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills required.

· Must be able to speak in public and facilitate training, using principles of effective adult learning.

· Must possess strong customer service orientation while dealing with a diverse customer population, to include business and industry leaders and employers, key community staff, board members, partners and company staff.

· Must possess sound judgment and solid organizational planning skills.

· Must be able to work independently.

· Reliable transportation is required and can be used as needed.

· Must have valid driver’s license.

· Must be able to work some evenings and on occasional weekends.
