An insurance appraiser assesses the value of property or the extent of damage in order to determine the amount of compensation that should be paid, while an insurance adjuster investigates and negotiates insurance claims. Both roles involve evaluating and processing insurance claims, but the appraiser focuses on determining value and damage, while the adjuster focuses on investigating and negotiating claims.
