Starting from the Academic Year 2025-26, members of the South Carolina Army National Guard and Air National Guard who are recipients of the College Assistance Program (CAP) can benefit significantly from financial support for their education. Specifically, these individuals may receive up to $12,000 per academic year, which translates to a maximum of $4,000 per semester for those enrolled as full-time students. This funding is applicable to students pursuing either two-year or four-year degree programs at accredited institutions within South Carolina. This initiative not only aims to alleviate the financial burden of higher education for service members but also encourages them to further their education and skills, ultimately benefiting both the individuals and the communities they serve.
