To become a pharmacist, you‘ll need to complete a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program, which typically takes four years to complete. You‘ll also need to obtain a state-issued license by passing the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE). Some pharmacists may also pursue additional certifications or postgraduate training in specialized areas of pharmacy.
