A case manager is responsible for evaluating and planning the actions needed to meet a client‘s healthcare needs, coordinating their treatment program, and acting as a liaison between the client and service provider. On the other hand, a social worker helps individuals or groups of people to cope with their issues and improve their quality of life, often acting as a therapist. While case managers require a minimum of a Bachelor‘s degree in nursing, social work, or a related field, social workers require a minimum of a Bachelor‘s degree, with a Master‘s degree required for licensure.
