Position: Teaching Artist Department: Education & Engagement Reports to: Program Manager (Drama School/Engagement/Schools) Classification: Seasonal, Part-time, Non-Exempt Instructional Salary/Hour: $30.00 - $50.00 Non-Instructional Salary/Hour: $19.97 Position Summary: We are currently seeking Teaching Artists to support school-year camps and classes. We are considering applications on a rolling basis, and hiring as needed. Teaching Artists provide professional arts instruction for students ages 3.5 - 18 and receive teaching assignments within a wide variety of programming that SCT provides, including workshops and residencies in schools and community centers as well as classes and camps at the theatre or a partnership location. Teaching artists should have experience in developing and executing theatre education curriculum (acting, musical theatre, movement/dance, improv, physical comedy, stage makeup, creative drama), classroom management skills, and have reliable transportation.
