On April 2, 2002, Doug Thornton, AIA, established Architectural & Engineering Resources for Construction, PLLC (AERC). As the name suggests, the firm was established to be a primary, single-source resource for our clients' building needs, whatever those may be. Our first office space was in the Pinnacle Center, designed by AERC, and located in Southaven, Mississippi. In March 2008, we moved to our LEED Gold Certified office in downtown Hernando, Mississippi, to house our seven multi-disciplined staff and sister company Land Development Resources, LLC (LDR). Since establishing our firm we have designed hundreds of projects of multiple project types, including churches, collegiate buildings, dormitories, offices, industrial buildings, K-12 schools and banks. We have also been involved in various project delivery methods including Integrated Project Delivery, Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build. With each project, we strive to listen intently to our clients in an effort to design a building that best meets their functional, aesthetic and budgetary goals, using our experience to guide them through the oft-harrowing and sometimes overwhelming design and building process. Our goal is to provide the experience, expertise and resources necessary to make the building experience enjoyable and rewarding.
