Oversee the implementation of the corporate budget and forecasts. Prepare monthly P&L statements and variance commentary for each line item. Provide profit center P&Ls, analyze product mix, and conduct price/volume analysis. Oversee the preparation of monthly journal entries to complete month end close. Perform monthly operational spending analysis and provide variance trends. Development and maintenance of standard cost rates and monthly standard gross margin analyses. Analysis of manufacturing costs and prepare monthly reporting variances from the standard. Description We are seeking a Controller for our client. Highly visible role to produce financial reports and manage the accounting department. Functions: Prepare and manage the month end close and financial package to CFO and C-Suite/Board of Directors. Prepare SALT tax returns, variance analysis, sales reports, flash reports and expense analysis. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and ensuring GAAP. Prepare financial reports for corporate office and leading internal/external audits. Manage and mentor accounting team. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting. MBA and/or CPA is highly regarded. 5-15 years of experience as a manager in an Accounting department. Strong Accounting ERP systems, MS Excel and multi-tasking abilities.
