The firm began as a stormwater compliance consulting business that produced SWPPP plans and stormwater compliance inspections. As the real estate market began to explode in Texas, Cardinal Strategies saw the opportunity to diversify and grow its offerings. In 2014, Cardinal Strategies launched its Engineering Services Division. In March of 2017, the company expanded its existing Environmental Services Division by acquiring Sanco Storm Water, LLC from Jerry Sanders. This purchase doubled the size of its client base and added more staff to focus on stormwater compliance services. At the same time, Cardinal Strategies also purchased Sanco Design, Inc., a specialty construction services company focused on remediation projects from water erosion. Jerry Sanders started Sanco Design, Inc in 1975. With this acquisition, Cardinal Strategies broadened its expertise to include a Construction Services Division, in which Jerry Sanders manages today. Cardinal Strategies has added over 30 people to its team since 2014 and remains diligent in its efforts to provide best in class solutions and service to its clients. Its customer base includes home builders, civil engineers, land developers, industrial clients, government, general contractors, HOA's, property managers and residential clients. Today, Cardinal Strategies has 3 areas of focus which include water resources engineering, environmental Stormwater Compliance and specialty construction.
