What Your Day Will Look Like: : As a roadway design engineer, youll support transportation improvement projects with the design and detailing of local, county, and state roadway and highway projects. Youll assist with geometric analyses and calculations using established design criteria and standard software. The roadway design engineer reports to the project manager. What You'll Do: : Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections. Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations. Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
