The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure compliance with federal and state mandated quality standards for Samaritan Home Health. The incumbent performs a variety of compliance functions to assure the agency is prepared for Medicare and Medicaid audits and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) survey at all times. These functions include staff development, in-service training, quality assurance, patient review, credentialing, and competency testing, supervision and evaluation of field staff. The incumbent will conduct and coordinate policy review, development, and implementation subject to standards of best practices. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Director of Patient Services at Samaritan Home Health.
