AFSCME 2663 represents 2500 members in Human and Social Service jobs in Connecticut. Local 2663 has members working in many different agencies, including the Department of Children and Families (which includes the Ct. Juvenile Training School), the Department of Social Services, the Commission on Human Rights and Oppurtunities, the Department of Public Health, the Office of Protection and Advocacy,the Department of Mental Retardation, the Child's Advocate office, the Bureau of Services for the Blind, Corrections, Department of Economic Development and the Commission of Deaf and Hearing Impaired. We are Investigators, Social Workers, Attorneys, Case Aides, Interpreters, Youth Service Officers, Field Representatives, Advocates and Licensing Specialists. We are working in Day Care facilities, training schools, hospitals, courts and offices across the state. Local 2663's members are visible every day of the week, working and helping the community. Local 2663 is affiliated with AFSCME Council 4 in New Britain and AFSCME International. We are part of the P-2 Bargaining Unit, which is comprised of 3 locals-Local 2663, Local 714 and Local 269.
