Historically, CreditVest has been dedicated to assisting clients in performing complex real estate tasks. From 1991 through 1995, we assisted the RTC/FDIC in successfully resolving over $4 billion of real estate assets under its seller- financing program. CreditVest assisted the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) in implementing their Seller Finance program and was the only firm approved and awarded contracts in each of the four RTC regions nationwide. CreditVest also provided seller finance services for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) by assisting in completing the FDIC National Real Estate Auctions, the three largest commercial real estate auctions in history. By providing seller financing on commercial real estate assets, the RTC and FDIC enlarged the pool of potential buyers, thereby increasing competition and the amount of funds recovered for the U.S. Treasury. The securitization and sale of the resulting loans paved the way for the CMBS industry. To that point, from 1995 through 1997, CreditVest assisted Nomura Securities in developing and implementing underwriting standards for its Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) program and served as their primary due diligence provider on transactions under $15 million. Since 1999, CreditVest has also worked extensively with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. As a Participating Administrative Entity (PAE) in HUD's Mark-to-Market Program, the firm has underwritten and restructured debt on over 600 low-income housing complexes. The financing has involved LIHTC Investments, FHA-insured loans, HUD held loans, tax-exempt bonds, credit enhancements, construction and renovation loans and bridge loans. In 2009, CreditVest was selected as one of three PAE's nationwide to participate in HUD's Green Initiative to encourage owners and purchasers of affordable multifamily properties to rehabilitate and operate their properties using sustainable Green Building standards. CreditVest is currently an active Participating Administrative ...

  1. Underwriting: Underwriting services are provided by some large financial institutions, such as banks, or insurance or investment houses, whereby they guarantee payment in case of damage or financial loss and accept the financial risk for liability arising from such guarantee. An underwriting arrangement may be created in a number of situations including insurance, issue of securities in a public offering, and bank lending, among others. The person or institution that agrees to sell a minimum number of securities of the company for commission is called the underwriter. The name derives from the Lloyd's of London insurance market. Financial bankers, who would accept some of the risk on a given venture (historically a sea voyage with associated risks of shipwreck) in exchange for a premium, would literally write their names under the risk information that was written on a Lloyd's slip created for this purpose.

Customer service concerns the priority an organization assigns to customer service relative to components such as product innovation and pricing. In this sense, an organization that values good customer service may spend more money in training employees than the average organization or may proactively interview customers for feedback. From the point of view of an overall sales process engineering effort, customer service plays an important role in an organization's ability to generate income and revenue. From that perspective, customer service should be included as part of an overall approach to systematic improvement. One good customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer holds towards the organization.
