Summary Under the direction of the Director operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produces cardiac images according to policy/protocol. Examinations performed include adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pediatric echocardiograms. Responsible for assuring a high level of quality in all exams and providing the interpreting physician with all the necessary information in order to make an accurate diagnosis. Collaborates with other departments to provide procedures in a timely and efficient manner for all involved. Education Associates of Science degree in health care field and successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program; OR successful completion of a two year Echocardiogram training program; OR Eligible for on-site training by obtaining an Associates of Science in a health care field or Bachelors degree in a health care related field with two years of cardiac related health care experience.
