In the early morning hours of December 4, 1948, on a much colder than usual Texas day, Floyd Zuehlke opened the doors to Floyds Body Works. Little did he realize, that morning would be the first of 70 years of service in the Central Texas area that continues to this day. Six years later, in 1954, Mr. Zuehlke acquired Taylor Glass Company, and Floyds Glass Company was born. Floyds Body Works and Floyds Glass Co. operated independently until 1974, when both were incorporated to form FLOYDCO, Inc. Since then, FLOYDCO, Inc. has become the largest full service glass company in Central Texas for all commercial, residential, automotive, retail and factory needs. Our company occupies 48,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, employs over 170 associates and maintains a fleet of over 70 vehicles. We are active members of Associated Builders and Contractors, Central Texas Subcontractors Association and Texas Glass Association and a reputable Safelite affiliate; our industry expertise is second to none. Since the opening of Floyds Body Works, times have changed. But the spirit and vision of Mr. Zuehlke on that blustery December day in 1948 lives on in all of us here at FLOYDCO, Inc. We are proud to serve you and all of your glass needs.
