Provides innovative leadership to maximize the Pharmacy department's contribution to overall clinical performance. Oversees all aspects of pharmacy services including, budget preparation and maintenance for clinical services and educational requirements, departmental and customer satisfaction, and ongoing definition of the metrics to implement and track the clinical and financial impact of the pharmacy. Oversees the medication use process assuring the safe preparation, dispensing, distribution, and security of medication. Provides overall guidance, development, management, and supervision of the clinical staff pharmacists and technical staff. The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process.
