Goodmark was established in 1985 as a specialized nursery growing large specimen shade trees of four inch caliper and above along with ornamentals of eight foot height and above. In fall of 2001 Goodmark changed ownership and with that a change in operation took place. Continuing its rich heritage of specializing in the growing of specimen larger shade trees, ornamentals, and evergreens, Goodmark added an expanded selection of material including smaller caliper shade trees and ornamentals. In 1985 Goodmark consisted of 160 acres and has since added more acreage for a total of 375 acres. Goodmark is also affiliated with South Branch Nurseries, Inc. located in Union Illinois. Goodmark and South Branch Nursery Director Michael Scheitz, ICN Pro, BS-Horticulture, Illinois State University, AS Horticulture-Harper College, 20 plus years landscape and nursery experience, with the support of staff from Goodmark Paul Ayers, Gaby Cruz, and Luis Lugo and Miguel Barrera from South Branch, ensure the quality of your purchase will meet your expectations. Along with the great selection of sizes and varieties of plant material, Goodmark also has a 20 acre holding yard to insure availability throughout the summer.
