The Goshen Central School District is in the center of Orange County, New York, approximately 60 miles northwest of New York City. The district encompasses the entire Village of Goshen, plus portions of the Towns of Chester, Goshen, Hamptonburgh, Wallkill and Wawayanda. The entire area is an interesting blend of stately old homes, contemporary buildings, garden apartments, farms, and industrial parks. Orange Regional, a 176-bed hospital, is located in Goshen. There is access to a variety of cultural activities, as well as excellent recreational opportunities, either within or near Orange County. Nearby colleges include Orange County Community College, Mount Saint Mary College and the State University at New Paltz. Marist College offers extension courses in the Village of Goshen.
