To assure an encouraging and positive learning environment for students while their regular/homeroom teacher is absent, the Substitute Teacher is responsible to effectively manage, lead and teach the class from roll call until all students have left campus. The Substitute Teacher performs duties that are instructional in nature or deliver direct services to students or parents. Essential Duties and responsibilities: Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive environment.
