Hancock & Brown Timber Limited is Swansea's largest & longest established independent merchant. The business was founded in 1978 by Wyndham Brown and Martyn Hancock, both were former employees of Gregor Bros Timber Merchants. Since 1987 Hancock & Brown has been in the ownership of Wyndham Brown, Nigel Brown who joined 1978, and David Brown in 1979; Phillip Brown was employed by the company from 1988 until 2000 when he left to start his own business. During 1991 the business expanded, stocking a much larger range of general building products, this was further increased in 1994 with the acquisition of adjacent premises. In 2009 Hancock & Brown relocated to a new purpose built 34,000 sq foot warehouse on a 3 acre site, where our timber stocks have been increased, we have also opened a Roofing Centre, a Café, a Wood-Burning Stove Shop, a much improved DIY store, and have now introduced Landscaping / Gardening Products. At Hancock & Brown we pride ourselves on our high standards of both customer service and the products we offer, we are truly a One Stop Shop for Every Building Product.
