Hickok-Dible has been in the real estate development business as a builder, developer and property manager continuously since its founding in 1904. Timothy W. Hickok is currently President of the company. In its ninety years of activity, the company has built over seven thousand living units throughout the Midwest. The Hickok-Dible name in Kansas City is synonymous with quality construction and optimum value. During the last twenty years, the company has diversified into the construction, ownership and management of various income properties, including commercial space, shopping centers, apartments and townhomes. The Company built virtually everything between 99th and 101st streets from Nall to Lowell in Overland Park, Kansas. The construction of the Pines Apartments, located at 95th and Mission Road in Overland Park, Kansas, in 1965, signaled Hickok-Dible's entry into the apartment construction and rental business. Its success led to the construction of the Pinebrooke Apartments and Townhomes, consisting of 230 units, located at 103rd and Conser in Overland Park, Kansas, built in 1968. The construction of this complex set the tone for all developers in the Greater Kansas City area with respect to the construction of upper bracket apartments and townhomes which could later be converted to condominiums. The firm still develops both single and multi-family neighborhoods; most recently Mission Pines, a patio home subdivision at 79th and Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS, and Pinecroft, an infill single-family subdivision at 83rd and Nall, Prairie Village. We took over from the previous developer of Pembroke Court, 123rd and State Line, Leawood, KS, and finished out this zero lot line subdivision of approximately 75 lots in 1992-95.
