Born and raised in Nepal, Prasun Shakya lived with his closely tied family members. He was sent to a hostel in grade 4. He felt as if nothing could be worse than this. Isnt it funny how back in those days, we used to picture small problems like an incomplete assignment, exams, fight with a friend, as a turmoil in our life but life is so much more, and has so much to offer. Three years after facing the bully and having severe health issues, Prasun Shakya left the hostel. At grade 12, when the students had the option to choose a subject, he decided Computer because his father wanted to see him as a Computer Engineer. But he, himself had no clue how he pictured himself in the future. Due to political unrest, he went to Sydney, Australia for further studies. However, due to wrong counseling from the education consultancy, he enrolled in diploma in Hospitality. It didnt take too long for him to switch to Diploma in IT, and being the good student that he was; he completed my Bachelor in IT from Charles Sturt University. So what next after Bachelors, yes, Career! In hopes to get a good paying job in the field of IT, Prasun Shakya attended an AUD $6000 training of Cisco and Microsoft certification course. He had never imagined that it would cost him AUD 6000 to realize that he is not interested in IT. This should be the significant turmoil in his life! Luckily due to the presence of his siblings in Australia, he was guided to the path of Sales and marketing. For around five years he worked in various sales roles in retail. It was after this experience, he developed a keen interest towards Marketing, and he decided to return to his country and enroll for MBA, full time. The concept of Digital Marketing was blooming in the country, and he seemed to enjoy digital marketing more than the traditional marketing.
