SUMMARY The Manager of Safety Programs will be responsible for ensuring the organization remains in compliance with occupational health and safety (OSHA) regulations and applicable safety standards, and for providing guidance and direction for the planning, implementation, and sustained operations of the organization’s aviation Safety Management System (SMS). The position will also be responsible for performing the duties as the titled Aviation Safety Officer (ASO) when the organization is under US Government contract and the requirements of DCMA Ground Flight Risk Clause (GFRC). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Manage the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement throughout the organization of a Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with 14 CFR Part 5 and general safety in compliance with 29 CFR Part 1910.
