Dr. Dearing has received extensive training in the treatment and management of ocular disease, including diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and ocular surface diseases. He is also trained in the fitting and management of specialty contact lenses, pediatric care, and surgical co-management. Dr. Dearing completed multiple externships throughout his education, including a large ophthalmology sub-specialty clinic in Phoenix, AZ, an Indian Health Hospital in Santa Fe, NM, and a private practice in Seattle, WA. Dr. Dearing is certified by both the Oregon and California Boards of Optometry. He holds certifications in injectable, oral, and topical pharmaceutical agents. He is a member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, American Optometric Association, and Beta-Sigma-Kappa optometric honor society.
