The purpose of this position is to perform field surveying work, provide engineering drafting for projects, and assist with the administration of the Citys flood damage prevention ordinance. This is accomplished by overseeing staff; assisting with the preparation of engineering designs, plans, and estimates; reviewing maps, plans, and construction documents for private developments; and reviewing building permit applications for properties in flood zones. Other duties include administering the Encroachment Agreement process; the Street Closing and Dedications withdrawal process, and providing assistance to various departments.
