Robert J. West opened Manito Abstract Company, Inc. in June of 1970 at 7 South High Street in West Chester, PA. Bob's reputation for integrity, loyalty and knowledge made Manito one of the top title insurance agencies in Chester County. At Bob's passing in 1995, Manito continued to provide title insurance under the direction of his sons, Bruce West and Kenneth West. Bruce West currently runs the closing operations, is the President and has been with the company since 1975. Ken West is the title examiner and Vice President and has been with the company since 1977. Manito Abstract Company is located at 100 West Market Street in West Chester, PA. This has been our main office since 1973 and is the location of our title plant. We are licensed to operate throughout Pennsylvania although our primary area of operation is southeastern Pennsylvania. Manito Abstract Company is an agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, General Title Insurance Company and First American Title Insurance Company. We handle both residential and commercial transactions. We have the experience and resources to deal with any unusual issues.
