Job Summary: The Credentialing Specialist (CS) is responsible for facilitating Intermountain Healthcare centralized credentials verification program and will serve as the primary credentialing liaison for hospitals, providers and/or network participating providers regarding credentialing services. The CS will facilitate all aspects of centralized credentials verification program with accuracy and attention to detail. They will enter all information regarding providers into the credentialing software and other programs as needed. The CS processes initial credentialing and recredentialing applications capturing primary source documentation in computer databases, prepares and keeps reports of credentialing activities like accreditation, membership, or facility privileges and makes sure the applications comply with applicable laws, regulations, procedures and policies.
