A program, developed to attend to the needs of Midwest City and its citizens, is currently being implemented. In order to explain the general direction of the program and its goals, we have included a list of 6 specific minimum control measures and basic descriptions for each: Public Education and Outreach Program: A public education program designed to distribute educational materials to inform the public about the impacts of stormwater discharges and the preventive measures that they can take to reduce pollutants in stormwater runoff. Public Participation and Involvement: Assists in the development of stormwater management programs that allow the public to participate in implementing and reviewing our stormwater management program. Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination: Our goal is to detect and eliminate any discharges which negatively impact the streams, creeks, and water bodies in Midwest City. Construction Site Storm Water Runoff Control: Midwest City requires permits for development and construction activity that result in land disturbance. These permits require Erosion and Sediment Controls BMPs to be installed and maintained and pollution prevention practices to be performed throughout the construction process. Post-Construction Management in New Development and Redevelopment: Our program for Post-Construction Management was implemented to maintain and clean existing streams and drainage ways within our City. This program is enforced by using a variety of structural and nonstructural BMPs that currently exist and creating new BMPs to allow for the prevention and reduction of pollution in the City's storm drainage system. Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping: With the use of our structural and nonstructural BMP's currently in place, this allows for eventual reduction and prevention of polluted runoff from conveyances, municipal operations, and properties owned or maintained by the City. What Skills Does a person Need at Midwest City ,?

At Midwest City ,, specify the abilities and skills that a person needs in order to carry out the specified job duties. Each competency has five to ten behavioral assertions that can be observed, each with a corresponding performance level (from one to five) that is required for a particular job.

  1. Law Enforcement: Law enforcement is any system by which some members of society act in an organized manner to enforce the law by discovering, deterring, rehabilitating, or punishing people who violate the rules and norms governing that society. Although the term encompasses entities such as courts and prisons, it is most frequently applied to those who directly engage in patrols or surveillance to dissuade and discover criminal activity, and those who investigate crimes and apprehend offenders, a task typically carried out by the police or another law enforcement organization. Furthermore, although law enforcement may be most concerned with the prevention and punishment of crimes, organizations exist to discourage a wide variety of non-criminal violations of rules and norms, effected through the imposition of less severe consequences.
  2. Life insurance: Life Insurance can be defined as a contract between an insurance policy holder and an insurance company, where the insurer promises to pay a sum of money in exchange for a premium, upon the death of an insured person or after a set period
  3. Employee Assistance Programs: Assisting employees with work-related problems that may impact their job performance, health, mental and emotional well-being.
  4. Leadership: Knowledge of and ability to employ effective strategies that motivate and guide other members within our business to achieve optimum results.
  5. Customer Service: Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. The perception of success of such interactions is dependent on employees "who can adjust themselves to the personality of the guest". Customer service concerns the priority an organization assigns to customer service relative to components such as product innovation and pricing. In this sense, an organization that values good customer service may spend more money in training employees than the average organization or may proactively interview customers for feedback. From the point of view of an overall sales process engineering effort, customer service plays an important role in an organization's ability to generate income and revenue. From that perspective, customer service should be included as part of an overall approach to systematic improvement. One good customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer holds towards the organization.
