Otter Creek Church is located in Brentwood, TN, at 409 Franklin Road. The church, previously located on Granny White Pike, moved to this building (formerly Brentwood Baptist) in February 2006. The Otter Creek Kindergarten and Preschool, a ministry of the church, has served the south Nashville community for over 50 years. Our mission is to serve children ages 2-6 and their families by meeting not only their educational, developmental, and social needs but also their spiritual needs. We believe that children are already on a path that God has designed just for them. They need support along the way, and we work with their parents to prepare them for this path. With our new location and ample space, it was decided that holding a consignment sale would be a great opportunity to raise funds for a new playground which needed to be constructed before we could move the school to the current Franklin Road property. With no real consignment experience, a dedicated team of five women organized and put together the first sale in August of 2006. After only three sales, profits helped the playground officially open its gates in the fall of 2007. Many zoning hearings later, the church learned moving the school would require building an entirely new building. So, in 2008 we began to use sale profits to fund this new construction project. The new school building opened in the fall of 2011. This new addition greatly benefits the children of Otter Creek Church, the students who attend the school, as well as the community. We currently host two sales a year-- a fall/winter sale in August and a spring/summer sale in March. Thanks to the overwhelming success of our sale, to date we have raised almost half a million dollars. All profits from each sale go to help fund special projects within our children and youth ministries at Otter Creek as well as various child-related ministries that benefit kids throughout Nashville and the world.
