Polygeia was founded to give students the opportunity to contribute to global health policy. Our core aims are: Research and disseminate high quality policy papers and follow up on their implementation where possible. Develop the skills of our researchers through our policy workshops and mentoring programme. Engage students and others with the global health issues on which we are working. Commissions - After our conference in November 2014 we will welcome commissions from policymakers, NGOs, academics and other student groups working on similar issues. Although we will not be able to start work on commissions before November, we would like to hear from perspective commissioners - please email commissions@polygeia.com. Quality - To ensure our work is of a high standard we are fortunate to have the support of public and global health academics in Cambridge who volunteer their time at our policy workshops and act as mentors - one for each of our policy themes. Expansion - While we are currently based in Cambridge, we will enable students from other universities to set up their own branches of Polygeia. We will run a workshop during our conference in November that will outline precisely how to go about doing this. Nevertheless do email director@polygeia.com beforehand to register your interest. Outreach - As part of our commitment to engage as widely as possible we are running outreach events on global health at schools and colleges in Cambridge and further afield. Also, the word "publisher" can refer both to an individual who leads a publishing company or an imprint and to an individual who owns/heads a magazine. Traditionally, the term refers to the distribution of printed works, such as books (the "book trade") and newspapers. With the advent of digital information systems and the Internet, the scope of publishing has expanded to include electronic resources such as the electronic versions of books and periodicals, as well as micropublishing, websites, blogs, video game publishers, and the like. Publishing includes the following stages of development: acquisition, copy editing, production, printing (and its electronic equivalents), marketing, and distribution.

Project management has final deliverables that are constrained to a finite timescale and budget.
  4. Initiative: Taking decisive action and initiating plans independently to address problems, improve professional life, and achieve goals.
  5. Presentation: Presentation conveys information from a speaker to an audience. Presentations are typically demonstrations, introduction, lecture, or speech meant to inform, persuade, inspire, motivate, build goodwill, or present a new idea/product.
