Job Description Job Description Overall Responsibility: The Accounts Payable Specialist maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. They will analyze accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. An Accounts Payable Specialist analyzes and reports buying patterns, performance indicators, and financial metrics and relays conclusions to management. Utilizes AP data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvements or cost savings. In addition, they collaborate with adjacent departments to streamline processes and recommends improvements to accounts payable policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience working with vendors, attorneys and staff at all levels.
