Overview: Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced OSP Designer for our Utility Design Engineering group in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The UDE team works with industry leading internet service providers across the United States to provide network engineering services. The OSP designer work on the planning, designing, documenting and permitting proposed new outside plant backbone, middle mile and FTTx and BAU build-outs. Responsibilities: Assist with fielding tasks (Engineering Design Notetaking for both aerial and underground, pole data collection, etc.). Demonstrate a basic understanding of applicable building codes and design codes (NEC, NESC, etc.). Review jurisdiction documentation and determine design parameters within Right-Of-Way with parameters provided. Identify basic components for site design in a Telecommunications fiber network.
