Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant to join our Accounting team within a vertically integrated manufacturing & retail company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing general ledger activities, monitoring inventory control, and analyzing manufacturing operating expenses, variances, product costs, and inventory valuation. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts related to manufacturing operations, LIFO/FIFO inventory, and Cost of Goods Sold. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Inventory Control: Analyze and monitor inventory accuracy via system-driven cycle count programs, physical inventory observations, and monthly inventory reporting.
