OVERVIEW: The Homeless Ministries Outreach Coordinator will actively engage in community outreach efforts to promote awareness of the Harbor Light Center, the inaugural stage of The Way Out program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate homeless outreach efforts throughout downtown San Francisco Establish and maintain a regular outreach schedule in and around homeless encampments Work with SF Metro Corps units/officers for regular participation in the outreach schedule ensuring adequate coverage for spiritual, emotional, and physical care on all outings Work with the San Francisco Culinary Training Academy students and instructor on a monthly outreach effort providing food prepared by the students Interface with external groups who have regular interaction with people who could benefit from the Harbor Light and The Way Out Extended Recovery programs Provide reports and input at regularly scheduled staff, advisory board, and coordinate council meetings Promote Salvation Army recovery
