The Center has been providing counseling services, including substance abuse therapy and anger management education to the Tampa Bay Area since 1973. We have offices in both Hillsborough (Tampa) and Pinellas (Clearwater) County. We provide both group and individual therapy for clients who seek treatment in a community-based substance abuse outpatient environment. This allows individuals in recovery to maintain their personal and occupational commitment while receiving the treatment they require to recover from alcohol and substance dependence and abuse. Treatment formats are individually tailored to match each client's unique needs and circumstances. One-on-one counseling, individual and group therapy formats are offered, or may be combined to provide the most effective therapeutic approach to complete recovery. As described on our treatment philosophies page, our unique approach combines Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Systems-Oriented Family Counseling. One of the main differences with this multi-modality approach is that CRL does not use lables such as "addict" or "alcoholic", rather we look at the person as a whole and how their beliefs have effected ones behaviors, and ultimately, ones overall life functioning. Our multi-modal approach will allow you to achieve the control and discipline over alcoholism and drug addiction you seek, while achieving additional personal goals in relationships, occupational management, social and recreational functioning, and self-regulation of mood and mental outlook. Our approach offers both additional treatment to 12-step models, or an alternative therapeutic approach for those clients who have not found the 12-step approach in congruence with their lifestyle or philosophy.

What Skills Does a person Need at Tampa Bay Area?

At Tampa Bay Area, specify the abilities and skills that a person needs in order to carry out the specified job duties. Each competency has five to ten behavioral assertions that can be observed, each with a corresponding performance level (from one to five) that is required for a particular job.

  1. Law Enforcement: Law enforcement is any system by which some members of society act in an organized manner to enforce the law by discovering, deterring, rehabilitating, or punishing people who violate the rules and norms governing that society. Although the term encompasses entities such as courts and prisons, it is most frequently applied to those who directly engage in patrols or surveillance to dissuade and discover criminal activity, and those who investigate crimes and apprehend offenders, a task typically carried out by the police or another law enforcement organization. Furthermore, although law enforcement may be most concerned with the prevention and punishment of crimes, organizations exist to discourage a wide variety of non-criminal violations of rules and norms, effected through the imposition of less severe consequences.
  2. Life insurance: Life Insurance can be defined as a contract between an insurance policy holder and an insurance company, where the insurer promises to pay a sum of money in exchange for a premium, upon the death of an insured person or after a set period
  3. Employee Assistance Programs: Assisting employees with work-related problems that may impact their job performance, health, mental and emotional well-being.
  4. Leadership: Knowledge of and ability to employ effective strategies that motivate and guide other members within our business to achieve optimum results.
  5. Customer Service: Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. The perception of success of such interactions is dependent on employees "who can adjust themselves to the personality of the guest". Customer service concerns the priority an organization assigns to customer service relative to components such as product innovation and pricing. In this sense, an organization that values good customer service may spend more money in training employees than the average organization or may proactively interview customers for feedback. From the point of view of an overall sales process engineering effort, customer service plays an important role in an organization's ability to generate income and revenue. From that perspective, customer service should be included as part of an overall approach to systematic improvement. One good customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer holds towards the organization.
