Our purpose is to assist clients with challenges presented by the complexities of converging voice and Internet technologies in their businesses. TelephoNET offers turn-key solutions and perpetual management services while you maintain control and ownership of your communications assets. TelephoNET was formed in 1996 to create innovative Internet solutions for business. TelephoNET co-founders; Greg Ottensmeyer and David Wielech developed and filed for US Patent office protection for the first competitive integrated T1 (voice and Internet) service, dubbed - CLEAR CHANNEL. TODAY - TelephoNET provides and manages world-class IP telephony systems and services for corporate clients globally. Our success is based on satisfied customers who tell others. CLEAR CHANNEL service was conceived by TelephoNET in 1996 to deliver low-cost Internet and Voice services on a single T1 pipe for business. By collocating equipment in TCG's central office, TelephoNET sold the blended service for $265 when Internet T1's cost over $1,200 monthly. TCG began offering the service as their own and were subsequently purchased by AT&T in 1998 for $11B. HISTORY - In the mid-1970s, Greg Ottensmeyer, TelephoNET founder pioneered the first competitive flat rate long distance service when he began offering unlimited calls for 25-cents, while the Bell telephone monopoly charged 43 cents per-minute. In 1979, AT&T "Ma Bell" moved to shut-down the burgeoning telephone competitor. Ottensmeyer's attorneys filed Anti-trust charges against AT&T for restraint of competitive trade violations. The Case was litigated for 5-years, when it was joined by parallel US Justice Department actions, which culminated in the 1984 break-up of Bell System and AT&T's century-long monopoly over American telephone services.

What Skills Does a person Need at Telephonet Corp?

At Telephonet Corp, specify the abilities and skills that a person needs in order to carry out the specified job duties. Each competency has five to ten behavioral assertions that can be observed, each with a corresponding performance level (from one to five) that is required for a particular job.

  1. Customer Service: Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. The perception of success of such interactions is dependent on employees "who can adjust themselves to the personality of the guest". Customer service concerns the priority an organization assigns to customer service relative to components such as product innovation and pricing. In this sense, an organization that values good customer service may spend more money in training employees than the average organization or may proactively interview customers for feedback. From the point of view of an overall sales process engineering effort, customer service plays an important role in an organization's ability to generate income and revenue. From that perspective, customer service should be included as part of an overall approach to systematic improvement. One good customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer holds towards the organization.
  2. Presentation: Presentation conveys information from a speaker to an audience. Presentations are typically demonstrations, introduction, lecture, or speech meant to inform, persuade, inspire, motivate, build goodwill, or present a new idea/product.
  3. Sales Development: Devising and strategizing new sales operations and processes to drive higher profitability.
  4. Prospecting: Prospecting is the first stage of the geological analysis (second – exploration) of a territory. It is the physical search for minerals, fossils, precious metals or mineral specimens, and is also known as fossicking. Prospecting is a small-scale form of mineral exploration which is an organised, large scale effort undertaken by commercial mineral companies to find commercially viable ore deposits. Prospecting is physical labour, involving traversing (traditionally on foot or on horseback), panning, sifting and outcrop investigation, looking for signs of mineralisation. In some areas a prospector must also make claims, meaning they must erect posts with the appropriate placards on all four corners of a desired land they wish to prospect and register this claim before they may take samples. In other areas publicly held lands are open to prospecting without staking a mining claim.
  5. Products and Services: Knowledge of the full array of our organization's products and services including those that are created for internal customers; insight into the differentiating factors that distinguish them from those of competitors.
