The Vegetarian Resource Group is offering four $250 awards to the winners of the 2015 Vegetarian Video Scholarship Contest. To apply, create and submit a video that shares what you wish others to learn about vegetarianism and/or veganism. Examples of topics include animal rights, nutrition, the environment, world hunger, your personal thoughts and feelings, or any topic relating to vegetarianism and/or veganism that you find meaningful. Feel free to get creative, heartfelt, and/or humorous. All videos must be positive, non-critical or judgmental, and free from any footage of animal cruelty. Judges will base their decision on accuracy and their desire to share the video with others. Submitting the video grants The Vegetarian Resource Group permission to share, publicize, and link to and from the video. All work must be original. The deadline is July 15, 2015. One previous winner created a video of talking fruits and vegetables that shared the environmental and economic benefits of a vegetarian diet. Another winner utilized humorous conversations to touch upon the health and animal protection reasons to convert to vegetarianism. Other winners included teenagers rapping about vegetarianism, creating an animation with drawings, or simply sharing their story to the camera.
